| About Nebulex |
|
Nebulex, Inc. was established as an Internet/web integration company in the first part of 1993. Positioning itself as one of the early adopters of Internet commercialization, Nebulex created the initial design of the first web site for Digex.net. Forming a modest alliance with Digex, Nebulex was one of the first promoters of remote web site hosting and out-sourced web design. John Francis created Nebulex and produced one of the first resource portals for Sun Microsystems' newly released Java programming language. The JAVA URN was recognized as one of the premier locations on the web to find newly emerging resources and applets for Java. During this time Mr. Francis also assisted in creating many online presences for mid level clients and associates. His work was recognized by key innovators in the industry and he was then brought on as Webmaster of AOL Networks. Concurrently, Nebulex remained an online resource and design "springboard" for new web entities while Mr. Francis focused on his work with AOL.com. His contributions led to the creation of Webmaster Info and the pre design and launch of the AOL Instant Messenger software. In 1999, Mr. Francis left AOL to manage an exclusive business deal with AOL and VERIO, the world's largest domain based hosting company. Through his efforts, VERIO was able to partner with many online industries leading to the development of Yourcompany.com, a SME business portal. 500,00+ web companies hosted by VERIO were empowered to participate in reciprocal marketing efforts between VERIO and it's partners. Currently, Mr. Francis teaches fundamentals of interactive and multimedia design and web site development at the Art Institute of California. There he trains students with an emphasis of "user-centered" design. "After 11 years of creating for this industry, I have been privy to the most innovative processes for user focused design and strategic internet marketing. What I thought would perhaps just be a hobby; ended up influencing the lives of millions of "netizens". My ongoing professional edict is to crusade for what was invented to make people's lives easier.... just that." |
